Parquet designs
Parquet flooring is one of the most expensive and impressive styles of hardwood flooring.
These floors are created by laying small blocks of timber in a geometric pattern. Although they have never really been out of fashion, they are now experiencing a popularity unseen since the 1930's.
The most popular style is Herringbone, a classic design and arguably the most elegant - especially when laid with a contrasting border. Other well known patterns popular in domestic properties are Brickwork and Basket weave, both of which work well with a modern interior.
Parquet blocks are available in a choice of timbers including:
- Oak, both prime and rustic
- Walnut, prime and rustic
- Panga Panga - an exotic timber varying in colour from pale brown to almost Wenge
